long crowers?
Jul 4th, 2006 at 10:30am

Does anyone know anything about these? or even keep them in the UK. I've only seen ( and heard!!) them on the net and they sound amazing.
After having these in my garden for a week I think the neighbours would be okay with 'normal' cockrels Grin

I spent ages at the National the other year just hanging around and waiting for the Koeoshi to crow. Worth the wait......Amazing bird.   Smiley

I read an artical in PP magazine issue 16- July 2005 about long crowers. It mentioned a bird called a Koeyoshi,it's Japanease. It can crow for 20 seconds but it is so deep you can hardley hear it and it doesn't open it's beak. They make other funny noises as if they have a respiritory problem.Unfortunately for them they only live for 2 years and they are very rare.

Denizili - origin unknown but highly respected in Turkey where they have a rooster statue in honour of them in the city of Denizili.  Crow can range from 20-30 seconds the record being 45 seconds.
