New Poultry Club starting- West/North Yorkshire
May 22nd, 2009 at 7:49pm

Myself and a few other poultry enthusiasts from my area are about to form a new poultry club, to be called The Craven Poultry Keepers Club.

It will be a social club for all aspects of poultry keeping, the area covered will be Keighley, Silsden, Skipton, Ilkley and all other areas in the "Craven" district im West/North Yorkshire. Although anyone can join, no matter where they live!

If anyone would like to join us, please PM me for further details.

Just to update you on our newly formed poultry club - We are now called the Craven Poultry Keepers Club and hold our meetings in Silsden West Yorkshire, once a month over the winter period from Oct - March.

We had our first official meeting last Tuesday (6th Oct), our Chairman Edward Boothman gave an interesting speach about the history of poultry keeping in our area and updated everyone on what the Committee had been coming up with for the Club over the summer months.

We now have 120 paid members wich is beyond our wildest dreams and the futere looks good as we have lots of ideas and enthusiasm in the club.

You can see all about us at - Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Regards

Jayne Gillam
Hon. Sec. Craven Poultry Keepers Club

I'm looking forward to joining and getting to my first meeting in January!  Does York count in the 'Craven' district?  Grin.  Mr Boothman was very encouraging for us to join.  Smiley

It was good to chat to you at the National, bantambob, and I'll look forward to updates on your Marsh Daisies at the next meeting!

If anyone else travels from this direction I'd be happy to share transport.  Speckled Sussex, if you'd like to mention this to any other "eastern Wink" Craven poultry keepers, then they can pm me on the forum.
