Did any one else notice these on eBay?  Stunning colour, but I've never heard of them before:

i spend too much time playing on the genetics calculator looking at colour crosses and it shows up on there as 1:256 and 1:512 shots so someone has done loads of work and breeding to get them

or been incredibly lucky !

So is there a technical name for that colour combo (lavender? Roll Eyes) and is there any particular reason why the 'Isabella' or is it named after the person who developed them (or their mum)?

Its a gorgeous colour the pale grey seems to compliment most other colours.

Soon someone will be selling Isabelle Lavender Araucanas, then they wont have to cull all those 'brassy' lavenders Wink Huh

perhaps, just give the colour a nice name then it wont have to be culled Grin

Roll Eyes Grin

Now you mention it Frugal is does look a bit like a brassy lav ara, if I'd have known I could have called it Isabella I could have sold my boys as opposed to eating them!

just a thought , if you wanted them for showing , they are of a different type to english leghorns if i remember rightly have thinner tails the dutch is thicker but not as thick as the american type of leghorn ( or vice versa) so you would have to work on type

oh and its second class post , not good for posting eggs!!!  Grin Grin
