Preparing for bantams and need feed/drink advice
Jan 31st, 2010 at 9:43pm

Hi,

We're going to get bantams and want to make sure we have everything in place. What sized feeder and waterer should we get if we are looking to get between 3-4 bantams?

Thanks,

Philip & Lynda

For 3-4 bantams I would think even a small 3kg feeder will be more than adequate and for water upto 3L especially as I would recommend emptying and refilling daily so if you fill it right up you will be emptying lots out!. Hope this helps Smiley

Thanks, Lynda's poultry experience is with her Nan's 40 odd large foul which makes scaling down a little complicated  Grin

Agreed.. you'll be scaling it up before you know it!

I stipulated only 3 when i was convincing my landlord to let me keep chickens.. I now have 21 (though I am blaming another forum member for that...  Roll Eyes)

Yep, I started with 7 and now have far too many  Wink

I blame it on the neighbours!  Well how else was I supposed to keep up with their egg demands over the winter period?  Well that is what I am going to say if they ever complain about the amount I have  Grin
