What age do ducks stop laying?
Feb 18th, 2010 at 8:49am

I have recently acquired a 6yr old khaki campbell duck who is laying 5/6 eggs a week. Her last owner told me the eggs couldn't be eaten as the duck is too old - I don't really believe this - but just checking other peoples opinion before I poison everyone ! Wink
I think it more a case that he has left eggs too long before eating, and doesn't actually like the taste of duck eggs. Angry
How long can she be expected to lay for ?

Total rubbish, the eggs are fine. If she is laying that well at 6years old she should have at the very least a year or two left in her.
