Welsummer Hatching Eggs - West Yorkshire
Jan 20th, 2014 at 4:03pm

Welsummer hatching eggs available now from exhibition strain with good terracotta brown egg colour.

Most of my 7 hens have now come into lay; they are Free Range and fed on breeder pellets.
I haven't hatched any myself yet this year, I will soon, but all the eggs I have cracked open from them for eating have been fertile.

I have had good results at the national show recently, including my cockerel coming second last year. One of the hens won best Welsummer at the Scottish national a few years ago (from Edward Lobb).

The eggs are 1 each, they can be collected or I can post them. I use the polystyrene egg cases seen in the picture below when posting.
Postage costs are as follows; anything up to a dozen will cost 7 and 18 would cost 14 (royal mail next day delivery prices).

PM me for more info!

They are beautiful Smiley. I am hoping to place an order with you this year for some of your Welsummers, hopefully around March/April time as I would like some for the children to hold at the Country Park I work at Smiley.

They look just like the girls + 1 boy I hatched from your eggs last year  Grin Grin Grin
They are cracking birds - I can fully recommend them. Hoping to hatch some more from my eggs this year.

Thanks Smiley I am actually one hen down due to the fox :'-( but we are getting about 20 eggs a week at the moment, brought in 5 today, they don't seem to be affected by the awful weather!

About to dust off the incy.  Got some PB's locally that I might buy to hatch.  Have you got plenty of eggs or do I need to think about ordering in advance?

Hi, you would probably need to order in advance, the next three dozen eggs are booked up at the moment (which is about 8/9 days worth) and it has been like that for a while now as well.
Thanks Smiley
